BETHEL COLLAGE EVENTS

Focus Statement: God’s redemptive plan for the world includes salvation for his people and renewal for creation as well. As such, we are called to be co-workers with Him, doing good works to help bring healing to the entire created order.

Welcome: We extend a warm welcome to all who have come to worship and fellowship with us this day. We gather to celebrate and praise God as we give thanks for the ministry of Pastor Lee Suderman and his wife, Di, and say, ―farewell today. We are grateful for the presence of our Conference Minister, Dorothy Nickel Friesen, and her husband, Richard, and other guests who have joined us for this special occasion.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Our Youth and Adult Delegates to Convention 2009 as they travel to Columbus, OH. Our adult delegates are: Pastor Linda Ewert, Carol Duerksen, Leona Schroeder, and Renae Peters. Youth and Sponsors: Pastor Mike Brouillette, Pat Flaming, Allison Banman, Tim Goertzen, Karl Brubaker, and 28 youth; plus 16 youth and 4 adults from our sister church, Luz del Evangelio. Pray that our youth and the youth from Luz del Evangelio will have an awesome experience and establish lasting friendships.

A Call for Prodigal Books. If by any chance you have any books that belong to Pastor Suderman—the owner is calling for them to come home as soon as possible. He’ll be happy to welcome them to the pew outside his office door without any questions asked. Thank you.

Caring for the church while the pastors are away. Pastor Lee’s term ends June 30. Pastor Linda and Pastor Mike will be at the Mennonite Convention in Columbus Ohio, June 29–July 5. If you have a care need or crisis during this time, the deacons will be available. Call the church office and a deacon will be contacted. After hours, call Delbert Peters.

July 5 will be CROP Sunday. Flyers will be in your mailboxes on that Sunday and members of the Relief Committee will be in the Chapel during the month of July to receive your contributions. A change this year – please make checks payable to MCC rather than CROP as in the past.

Campers: Remember to turn in your camp scholarship form to the church office so we can have your check ready the Sunday you go to camp

Camp Mennoscah News
• We are having the best time ever! It may be hot, but fun is plentiful and you wouldn’t believe what all we’re learning. Just talk to everyone who has already been to camp this summer! There’s still time to join us—contact us at 620-297-3290 or campmno@mennowdc.org for more information. P.S.—The summer staff fridge is on the fritz and cold drinks and frozen treats sure help combat the warmish nature of the work they do. If you have an extra fridge with a working freezer (or a spare air hose reel), we’d love to hear from you.
